GENERAL INFORMATION:
LOCATION: Ed is based in Brisbane/Gold Coast and works from First & Main and Alfred Street Tattoo. He works monthly in Melbourne from Sanctum Studio. For international, you will be notified with upcoming guest spots and availabilities.
AVAILABILITY: While in Queensland, Ed works Tuesday through Saturday. Out-of-town dates will be announced via Ed's Instagram and mailing lists as they become available. Weekend dates book out quickly and if you only have weekend availability, there will likely be a much longer wait for an appointment. Ed generally only schedules 1-2 months at a time. Appointment times will vary depending on date and location.
DEPOSIT: A deposit that will go towards the cost of your tattoo is required to reserve your appointment. Deposits are final, non-refundable, non-transferable, and due within 24 hours of confirming your appointment time. Deposit payments must be sent via PayPal and Wise, details will be sent upon confirming your appointment date. The remaining balance is due in CASH upon completion of your tattoo.
PRICING: Ed's appointment minimum is $350 / £250. For smaller and flash pieces, he prices per piece rather than by the hour. For larger-scale work or appointments with multiple designs, you will be booked in at his hourly rate. We are happy to provide a rough estimate of the time it will take to complete your tattoo as well as a quote for your appointment. Please note this is only a minimum estimate. Your final quote may change at Ed's discretion if revisions are made to the idea, design, size, placement, or overall scope of work.
GRATUITY: While tipping is not mandatory, it is always greatly appreciated. As a guide, a 20% tip is customary within the tattoo industry, but tips can range between 10%-30%. It is completely at your discretion.
DESIGNS: Ed does not show designs in advance. Small changes to the prepared design can be discussed in person on the day of your appointment, and can occasionally be made before we begin tattooing. If you decide to alter your design idea and/or dramatically alter the size, your appointment may need to be rescheduled for a later date and the price may change. If you decide to change your idea all together, please provide at least one week's notice. If we are notified any later than this a $200 / £150 redesign fee will be required that will NOT go towards the cost of your tattoo.
